You amaze me

how you can stay

when I go half crazy

or the darkness sets in

and I can’t see

I’m much too fragile

then stubborn and strong

I’m frequently right

but too often wrong

And yet

despite my twisted

history scars

from foreign wars

you love me

like I’m perfection

Your heart’s content

with my kind of

love and displays

of affection

And loving me back

like there is no tomorrow

...just forever and a day

Perhaps he sees you through eyes borne from undivided love. That, and understands that we all are fraught with past deeds and love affairs and out and out naughtiness.

Love is many a complicated thing.
However, reading your poetry I can understand his love for you, it's just that you can't understand his love for you.

You don't need to totally understand and stop selling yourself short. You're a very intelligent sensitive woman but you're always going to be you.
You came with a basic personality thank God he loves you just the way you are....Heh heh that reminds me of the Billy Joel song "Just The Way You Are"

Take care and keep writing it's very good for you.
