The Wizards Tree

The young maiden blindly walked,
deep into the dark woods,
looking for her love, the prince,

It was here, in these woods,
that she had seen him last,
a spell, a very evil spell,

Turning him into a black wolf,
at that moment in the corner of her eye,
she seen him, running through the trees,

She followed him, until she was lost,
out of breath, she kept on searching,
then she came to the wizards tree,

The wizard had long been a friend,
working for the prince at the castle,
the wizard became jealous of the prince,

Casting a spell upon him,
turning him into the wolf he now was,
the wizard wanted the maiden,

He used the prince to lure her,
into the forest to capture her,
but the maiden was smarter,

She had brought some magic of her own,
spells, magic dust, the arc of protection,
she wore this amulet around her neck,

Just as the wolf jumped out at her,
she looked into his eyes,
and shined the amulet into them,

The spell was broken,
and the wolf turned slowly back,
into the handsome prince,

The wizard was mad, he came out,
starting to wave his wand,
The maiden threw the magic dust,

Upon this evil wizard,
as he then was molded,
into the wood tree,

You can still see his face,
many have came to look at the tree,
The wizards tree,

The Prince married the maiden,
for her strength, courage, love,
they ruled the kingdom many years,

The one rule, was and still is,
to never cut down, or burn,
the wizards tree.

I dream in fantasy, because reality is scary~Millette (ARH)

A romantic heart indeed RomanticHeart, a fantastic written piece and beautiful picture to go with it, enjoyed every stanza.
