                    SISTERS
                        By Billie (about,12yr.)

              Sisters are nice people.
                  I've got five.
             They pry on your business
And try to run your life.

They tell you what to wear
                  And where to go
                  Who to go with,
And to go to what show.

               Sisters are wonderful,
              They have just the knack
              Of borrowing your things
              And not giving them back.

              But, stopping all josh.
            They are pretty nice things.
              To me, my five sisters
               Are like five queens.

They are grown up and married.
             With children of their own.
             It's lonesome some times
              Now that I'm all alone.

I'm the baby of the family
              A spoiled mean brat.
But I'd give up the petting
             To have my sisters back.
                  ***************

            more of my childish nonsense

Oh this is precious, loved it.  I don't have a sister and have always missed that very special bosom friend and relationship with whom to share all secrets with that I mostly now have with my daughter and sister-in-law instead.  A treasure and gift of a poem with a touch of humour, thank you for sharing your love of your sisters with us.
They must cherish their baby sister !

No nonsense at all, dear Billie, this is great!

Much enjoyed! I had no sisters, but a very young aunt who played that role.

I wish I had been lucky enough to have an older sister. I would have liked to have someone I could look up to. But, I was the oldest. I had a brother and a sister. My sister was the baby. And she has nothing to do with me, or the rest of the family. My brother dies when he was 26 years old.

Dear Billie, I think sisters are the same the world over when it comes to taking your clothes and not putting them back, and although I never had a sister, just one brother, my wife is one of five girls and she had the same problem. But it is nice to grow up in a happy family where you share things and make do with what you have.
Enjoyed your poem dear Lady.  love

Thanks to all of you for reading my silly poem.  When my sisters first read it they got angry until they got to  the end and then there were hugs all around.

Thank you,Bobby, you caught me again. My fingernail just hit the wrong letter.  It was suppose to read JOSH (that means sillyness)  Ha Ha, I did correct it.

Hi Billie...I love the sincerity and plenty of love of the poem, this is  quite touching and made me think of my sisters too...A very enjoyable read.

I enjoyed your words. I miss my sister terribly since she was my confident in  our later years. While we were young  I was just a pest to her since she was 7 years older.

Love this one. I have 7 older brothers and 1 older sister. I'm the youngest.

I have two Miss Billie. They are treasures, even if annoying at times...

Almost lost the middle one last week, but someone saw fit to let me keep her a little while longer.

Beautiful share.

Hey Mom,  I can't believe all the poetry you still have from when you were young.
That's some old paper. (LOL)

Sure enjoy seeing these parts of your childhood.

Love always,
Tracey.

Timeless! I enjoy reading your "childish nonsense".
I was the oldest of three children and I carried a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders ~ but my 'baby' sister (she's 5 years younger) truly was ~ and still is! ~ the 'baby' of the family. She's still adorable ~ just like you!

I love this! *S* My sister and I are about as close as can be now... she's finally forgiven me for teaching her to spell her name P~E~S~T... and I don't do much for her to tattle about anymore. LOL

You had talent at a young age! *S*

That must be the tale of sisters all over the world but where would we be without

them dear Billie. After reading your poem written at such an early age it's no wonder Tracey is such a good poet. Great poem.
