little girl with blonde curls

there was something about her the little girl with blonde curls she reminded me of when I was young
though now that i've grown I have brown curls
Her eyes are the same blue shade as mine
her lips curl up into that smile I know so well
her face that lights up when I do something right
and then when I hold her close to me in the night
She puts her trust in me when she falls asleep and
she knows that I love her enough I could never let her go.

This little girl with the blondest curls opens my heart to a new beginning. the beginning of you and me. and I have the choice to give her a good life, a life that I wished I could have. now with her in my arms so tight I hold the world that I never seemed to have. A world that now makes sense because I have reasons to open up my heart again. to the little girl with the blonde curls.
