Anniversary-

Tired of caring,
tired of this.
I know you're unhappy,
I can tell by your kiss.

I lay in bed crying,
four feet away.
You know that I'm hurting,
but have nothing to say.

These are the times,
when I think you don't care.
Like in my last poem,
you'd rather be elsewhere.

After our vacation,
we were happy, we were glad.
What happened to those days?
They were the best I've ever had.

I tried to hold on,
to those feelings so tight.
Used all of my strength,
and all of my might.

But within a week,
it faded to black.
No matter how hard I try,
I can't get them back.

I planned a date,
for both me and you.
Picked out a movie,
planned out the menu.

This was our day,
for just you and me.
Did you even notice,
It's our anniversary?

All that I want is to feel loved,
and not neglected.
I'm tired of feeling lonely,
sad, and rejected.

Sometimes I feel,
like I'm the only one that tries.
The passion is gone,
I can see it in your eyes.

This really hit home with me. I know the feeling all too well. It sure hurts, doesn't it?

Thank you for all the replies everyone!
I'm glad you were able to feel the emotion, and somehow relate. I started writing poems only recently, and it has been an awesome outlet for my emotions.
