The myriad of melancholic phrases that once dripped from my tongue like so much bitter sweet honey
now drip drip from the empty slip of that passing ship
her name surrounds me like a swarm
there is no sting

adrift bereft floating on blue rippled mist
too cool to feel anything but space
too blind to see anything but the clouds above
free and easy
oh so easy

Very lovely. A name can do that!

martini, this lovely poem reads ~ "free and easy
oh so easy" ~ and makes me smile.

As I read in your reply, her name is "Skye". It is a beautiful name and was one of the ones that I had originally chosen for my youngest of two daughters.
