sometimes those afternoon faces pressed to glass like your eyes did the smoke of a smoldering habana when it was the only thing we had in uncommon other then the way your roses made us shadow shaped friends there is a bucket of sun sky over there on the purple now horizons always make lovely shelves they say how they seem to hover just below someone's heaven even the godless ones seem to gaze awestruck you are more comfortable now in your skin it seems leaving buttons open as if my shopping was ok and you didn't mind an occasional mind drive to test you around the curves again every so often you still toy with my tattoos as if they were licked on and I imagine you would move them in different places too a woman thing to rearrange her surroundings perhaps or maybe you think more of my day would be visible if all of the dark man's history wasn't so easy to see ________________ daark (highway series) |
