Something Screams

Something screams at me.
I barely hear it late at night
I catch it’s movement like
A thief's shadow under a streetlight.

Something screams at me
Through dripping yellow teeth.
It slams against the bars.
It bellows it's name
But I won’t hear it.

It screams of the pain and anguish.
It roars and rages.
Blood oozing
Nails dragging
Mouth open
Eyes blazing

It knows my name

Something screams at me.

Dear Tim, how powerfully you conveyed this state of mind, when we seem under attack!
Meditation can help to "change the channel".

But sometimes maybe we should just bellow back at the "monster".

Perhaps a invite to have a spot of tea with the beast would have results although I believe those claws would have a bit of trouble with the cup.
