Bones loves where he lives.
He’s always lived here
in the city of Philadelphia.

The weather doesn’t bother him at all.

The hot,
steamy summers
with the humidity
just rolling in
from his beloved
Delaware River,
and the cold,
wet winters
when it either
rains or snows,
it just doesn’t matter
to Bones.

This is the place he lives,
and he loves it all the time.

It’s where he was born,
where he raised his children,
and where he will die
when his time comes.

He wishes everyone
a Happy New Year,
where ever they are.

A man who has a home, a true home that is more than a roof over his head, values his home; I gather that Bones knows that. I love the imagery and mood of the river.

Thanks Bobby, enjoyed your poem and yes Philadelphia is a pretty town with so much events happening, I love the flyers and their beautiful jerseys.

I'm glad you like Philadelphia. It's really pretty today, and every New Year's Day, because of the Mummers Parade. Everyone out doing the Mummers Strut.
