Dandelion Diaries I saw the book Laying on her bed It said “Don't Open” Or off with my head As I sat down to open it A single flower fell out A small yellow one What's this all about As I flipped through the pages I started to see What has been happening To her, not me Between every entry Another dandelion was pressed On every page She would confess Why did he want her This way and not me Did he love her more How could this be I must show him I can be just the same He will want me too She can have her shame I closed the book And headed for him Showing myself Committing a sin He just ignored me Like he always has And went back to her Loving as much as I guess this has been happening Since the day we turned four I feel so left out I feel so poor I want his kisses As much as that flower Why does she get All of his power Months go by And I go back to her book I sit down to read And then I was hooked She loved those flowers More than anything before They might just be a weed But they have opened her door For those weeds blossom Into this beautiful thing It proves she can overcome Overcome anything I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust |
