Hindsight has shown me I taught myself first,
In hopes that their cruel terms could hurt me no more.
I said to myself, as insults awaited offense,
“I know my own flaws, this will be my defense.
So you need not apply, the position is mine;
Prior memberships have been canceled, all applicants denied.
While I appreciate your concern in my worth and my pride,
I’ll be my own burden, it’s a perfection of mine.”
It is just as I told you, there’s not one I can’t beat
The game: self-deprecation at which I dare you, please try me.
If there's one thing I know, I will trump you, I’m king.
