you told me you were no shrink yet you made the best analysis told me I was sane how come I’m still hearing voices you told me it was my cross to bare yet you would be my ‘best man’ guide me through the lies how come you are not here it was unavoidable almost unbearable you’re virtually unavailable but it’s understandable you told me you were no doctor yet you had the best remedy o what a bitter pill how come it’s so hard to swallow you were right so poignantly I had to let you leave reluctantly [This message has been edited by shalisadefa (12-23-2009 08:33 AM).] |

"Listen to your feelings, listen to your highest thoughts, listen to your inner experience. You can only find out about the truth after you stop telling yourself what the truth is". Wise lessons that I was blessed to receive through my dearest friend. |

"it was unavoidable almost unbearable you’re virtually unavailable but it’s understandable" Nice match up with the words. Loved it. |

shalisadefa - I could feel your pen in this writing, very strong it is... You wrote a line once in a reply to one of my poems. It has stayed with me, and I have written one with the line in it. I'll post it soon... BC |

To BC I remember, I am looking forward to it (!), thanks for your kind reply. Every time you give your input I'm feeling a bit guilty that I'm not yet able to write such romantic poetry as you do. Once I told you you would see the lighter side of me. But I have to admit it's taking somewhat longer than I thought. But I'm working on it. ![]() To SlowlyFallAway: Funny you mentioned that particular part: you should know it came flowing out of my fingers, without really thinking about it twice. As someone else was writing and I was the observer. Thanks for your comments. To ChalmetteGuy- thank you. Although I'm not commenting on each and every one of your poems I do read them all and I must say I like your style a lot. Hmmm ChalmetteGuy, wondering what's the story behind your name? And last but not least Haaften. Thank you for taking the time to react on this forum. It means so much to me, as these poems are very personal and straight from the heart. I will take your advise at heart. Like to have your feedback once in a while. Cindy |
