Praise to the Savior

In far away Jerusalem
A tiny babe was born
Laid in a lowly manger
Lined with yellow straw
and corn.

In the town of Bethlehem
The lovely Mary stayed
And with her husband, Joseph
To God above did pray.

For her son, the king of Heaven.
The Savior of the earth.
That all might praise His coming,
And Appreciate His worth.

Who was this babe of lowly birth?
And why the star over head?
He is the Savior, come to earth
Asleep in a manger bed.

How could this tiny baby
Save the world from wicked sin?
Easy, I guess for the baby
When the love of God's within.

But, is was not easy for Jesus.
He toiled and bled for man.
Until the world shall cease,
We will love and honor Him.

In the days before His suffering
He blessed and taught mankind
To do the good and righteous
And have not an evil mind.

He taught us truth and kindness
Faithfulness and love.
He strove to make us mindful
And pure as the morning dove.

To Jesus Christ our Savior
We sing a holy hymn
To thank Him for His coming
And saving us from sin.

We praise not the lowly manger
Nor the sheep that welcomed Him.
We praise His goodness and mercy
And all that he did for man
