She was woven so long,
Her breasts watched
Through her shirt
Like the white polyester sweater
She wore through the shielded snow.

The mailman dropped his hat,
Gave a slight nod
And moved along the busy street.

I could see her face beside the store window
Could see her hands slightly slide into her coat pockets
And I stared so long,
I could undress her eyes and make her turn towards me.

She stood near the corner of the street
like a fixture amongst the winded snow
the trail of cars and people slowly cut away
and our eyelashes lit each others breaths
for one, for us, for another day to be ours.
