"To Let You Go" Even though I know you're gone, I see you in my dreams You walk with me so casually; you're with me still it seems And in my restless slumbering I know you're truly gone Though in my heart I wonder if I've kept you here too long I wonder if you're wandering or wishing I'd let go So you could rest forever in a peace I'll never know Or just perhaps you're watching from some paradise on high To guide me and protect me until I can say goodbye June 27, 2009 AMdG "My candle burns at both ends; it will not last the night; but ah, my foes, and oh, my friends--it gives a lovely light!" -Edna St. Vincent Millay |

This poem reminds me of just how agonizing the not knowing is. I wrestle with it all the time and you wrote that feeling well. |

I can identify with this feeling so well, having lost someone so dear to me. This is very eloquent and moving. |

This is a keeper. I think there are some that we can never really let go. We keep them tucked in our memories and love them forever. Merry Christmas. Alison |

I read this yesterday and could not find words. A soft and powerful work. starts and finishes strong. Reminding me again none of use are alone. |
