Clear your closet ..it’s time to pack
Get ready to leave  and carry your Iraq
Stuff your bags with sparrows
Pack your past go look for tomorrow

Put a palm ..under your arm
Leave everything behind
Fill your pockets with bread and tea leaves
Close them tied
Pick a colour out of your backyard
And another ..out of Tigris river side
For  it’s going to be a long dry lonely ride

It’s time to give your imprisoned bird a chance
To escape from the holy cage of home
Leave without taking a glance
With no looking back at all

Your once home is a pile of bombs
Built of  war wreckage  and  guns
And life as you know it has forever changed
So get your things arranged

Wrap your beautiful image of  Iraq
Keep it safe inside your mind
Cause love had already gone
And life has already died

So pack your thoughts ..your confused emotions
And get on the first boat crossing the ocean
Get on a train ..the first leaving plane
And say goodbye  to your sweetest pain
