Christmas Through His Eyes Did I do something wrong? Why do mom and dad stop talking when I come in the room? Look at all the advertisements with toys, I want that, and that, and I want one of those too, Mommy, can I help daddy? Look at all those lights in the box, I can pull them out, but, they are all tangled up, Hey look, that’s my name on this big red sock, I want to help you put lights on the house, Look daddy, wow, you are so high, I can come up the ladder and help, OK, OK, I’ll get down right now, Why? I won’t fall and get hurt, Are you going to? I’m big enough to get on the roof, OK, OK, well, what can I do? When are we going to put up our tree? Can we get out the ornmadents? Are these the ones we had last time? I can’t say: “ormnamints, Wow, mommy, look at all the lights, I helped put them on the tree, Daddy says I need to learn how to do it, And some day he will leave it all up to me, I can’t wait till Christmas comes, I can’t wait for it to snow, I can’t wait to get some presents, Daddy, how does Santa know? Why can’t we stay up to say hi to Santa? Is that true, if I’m awake he won’t leave me any presents? Does he really only come if I am good? Something about this doesn’t make sense! The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

Loved this, the innocence, the spontaneity...My mom always told me that Santa Claus was a storybook character, but you know, I learned that he is quite real when I came to have children of my own. Thank you for sharing, Santa.... LOL! Karen |

Lindsay, So glad you enjoyed my little poem, Josh gives me such inspiration and it is so fun watching him grow and learn. These poems for him are my little way of documenting it for him and leaving something of me for him when I am gone. Take care my friend, and God bless through this holiday season. Tracey. |

Hi Tracy, why don't you write your life story for your children to keep and cherish when you pass on. In fact everyone should do it, for all people's experiences and what they have achieved and things they knew, if it is not put down in print, then it's gone for ever when that final day comes around. I have written mine and had a lot of pleasure in writing it. Think about it my friend. Lindsay |

Lindsay, my dear friend, If I wrote down my life story, and let my kids read it, They would diss-own me. I have not always walked the straight and narrow, but It would be quite a story. Thanks for always commenting on my words. Tracey |

Margherita, Thank you my sweet friend, If only I could write about every new thing he does or learns about, I would never run out of things to say. Love always, Tracey. |
