Deeper Than Darkness Sleep eludes the dominance of mind and matter Clean slate of dawn, clear song the latter By sight and sound moves right and round To sense the velvet caves of precious time Intent, this space to rent seems comfortless Though thinking through, seems to renew with elegance A mind at rest, conceives conquest of imagery Abide endures concentric blurs and purity Led here adrift, my heart does sift the fragrant past Where hand in hand, my heart does land and ever last Such left to know, and even so, emotions phrase From deeper down, a place renown of higher grace I am not ready to mouth the words Emotion steady, succinct it stirs Perhaps the last sip of sanity has claimed me mute Though dawn of day forebear thoughts resolute Silent as the snow, the night has grown so cold Yet sun strikes chip at darkness’ stunning hold There stretch and yawn by noon, appreciation’s tune My love for you by far deeper than darkness Copyright Kkh 11/30/09 |

Led here adrift, my heart does sift the fragrant past Where hand in hand, my heart does land and ever last Such left to know, and even so, emotions phrase From deeper down, a place renown of higher grace Nicely done here!!! Wright |
