Dear Rachel,

You give me hope
for a brigter future
even though tomorrow
is not promised.

I love you.
And I believe in you.
I believe in us.

Love me.
Believe in me.
Believe in us.

But if you don't...
Or if you can't...
I understand...

Faith is so very costly!
Everything has its price.
I'm willing to pay.
But not everyone can afford it.

I live with the doubt
that I may spend myself
and come up empty-handed.

But it would not be
the first time
I have been broke
or broken.

Yes,
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick!"
But,
"Sick hearts need not fail to beat!"

Hurt me if you must.
I won't blame you.
I will live...

Love me if you can.
I will cherish you,

And I will live even more.
