Between the Lines

Pressed Between Thoughts

I lay between the pages
of your thoughts.
Eyes traveling, line by line
searching your world
for a hint of me.

Slipping from one page to the next
I breathe with your words,
feeling alive again.
Inked in memory
that first kiss, taken by surprise.
So light, so tender,
raising an awareness
of the attraction to each.

But that second one, ahhh that deep kiss,
that pulled from all the senses
and fed the hunger craved...
I felt the burn, once again,
the intense fire,
as your thoughts curl around me.
Pages comforting me, heating,
nourishing my need for you.

Pressed between your thoughts,
of all you have held back,
I begin to scribble in my own diary
of this unspoken exchange,
giving me new purpose
for a tomorrow.

I recall the murmurs and whims of a moonchild, they never cease .... though strangely dim now and then.

Enjoyed!  CT
