He saw her with her black umbrella, standing like a Juliette on a canvas, next to the rain and church like a missing shirt to the winter morning. She stood closely uncomfortable, her black eyeliner couldn't lie any longer, couldn't cover her tears as the church bells unearthed the deathly minute Of the window sill sitting, and waiting for the rain to stop so she could stand at the knees of her mother, the knees of a rainless afternoon. |
