Exhalations of an evening breeze, ...caress in fading light, Sweeping dust and scent of man, ...as Helios takes his flight. Purified, the air of dusk, ...reveals high heaven's vault, Allowing mortals such as I, ...to savor night's exalt. Venus first, as welkin's queen, ...leads twilight's promenade, Followed closely by her minions, ...in a celestial calvacade, A million, trillion, twinkling stars, ...splendor without end My fetters freed, I upward soar, ...this earthly realm transcend. |

You know and have known for a long while how pleased I have been of your writings; you should know also that I am more than proud to know you as a Kansan. ![]() |
