GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE ALL MEET AGAIN 28 June 2003 Pain wrenched at my heart today and holds it yet in a torturous grip. What I have feared for a long while has come to pass. We, Flicka and I, mourn your passing and disappearance oh sentinel trees and you two still there and standing tall we will be with you in spirit when your times comes and we know that will be soon. We revere you all and thank you for guarding over Flicka’s grave for as long as you were able. We will meet again in Heaven - you all, standing tall and green and young again; and Flicka galloping around you, bucking in bonding happiness with us; and me warm and happy again on Flicka’s back with my arms around his pillar of love and strength neck, revelling in our togetherness, trees and horse and woman. Oh, I do so understand the sorrow you must have experienced with the felling of those two sentinel trees standing on guard over Flicka's resting place. It pains me to see a tree unceremoniously struck down. I swear I can hear them scream! Trees have spirits and they have auras. I'm an avid tree-hugger. "revelling in our togetherness, trees and horse and woman." What a beautiful soul you have, my friend! Linda |

Dear Diana, I feel like joining in yours and Flicka's prayer-song for the trees. This tugs at my heartstrings ever so strongly, you know! Love, Margherita |

Thanks, Linda. However, the trees (which previously - before Flicka was buried there - been struck by lightning and had nor leaves at all, nor much in the way of branches) weren’t felled. They fell down (not at the same time) in the natural course of events. Thanks for the hugs, Kacy. I know how well you understand. Thanks, Margherita. I know you do. I remember a poem you wrote about a tree too. Owl |
