i wash my feelings in blue as old songs play at ten o’clock while sadness sings solo and i wrap up in a cocoon of righteous self-indulgence knowing i don’t wear blue well. - Alison |

When I read this, Alison, I thought of me. I've been there many times. It isn't a place I like to be. But, that darn music sure has a way of putting me there. |

This brings me to a place I dwell in most of the time, within shades of blue. I like that you took me there Ali. |

Thank you, dear Ida. I kind of like to think of myself as a red person, or greens like the water. xooxxo Alison - Margherita, Thank you so much. Please drop in and hug away anytime. I like hugs. xoxoxo Alison - Sue, The music can just draw us in, huh. I shake it off pretty fast or change the station. Or write a poem. Thank you for reading and commenting. xoxoox Alison - Of course, D, yours is washed in brew - but, at least, it's washed! You stoke my smile well. A - Yoin, Thank you a lot. I appreciate you stopping in. Alison - Dixie, Thank you, darlin'. xoxoox A - Lauren, Thank you for reading and understanding. A |

Hey Alison Come on over. I'll bust out the lawn chairs. We'll chat over some frosty girly drinks sans radio... Enjoyed this expression from you, Heather |

Alison, I am sorry you are sad, but I am glad you transformed your sadness into such beauty for us (and you) to enjoy. Owl |

Yo dear Alison, This reminds me of the "Blue Hole", a small pond in the town where my father was born and raised. It was surrounded by a neighborhood of washerwomen, who used a lot of bluing in the laundry they did. Nice poem too. Love Bobby |

I don't wear blue well either, Z, but sometimes it's the only thing left to wear. Beautiful poem. Arana Darkwolf |

Hmmm, I think of you as more of "a red person, or greens like the water." ~ lol I got that straight from your reply to Ida! Yanno somethin' darlin', those kinda blue moments can be very grounding. I let the bluesy blues wash all over me and go with the flow. Your poetry ALWAYS speaks to me! Giving you an extra warm, loving hug, Linda |

For some reason, I missed thanking a lot of people for taking the time to comment. I am so sorry and will get to work now. Heather, Thank you, sweet friend. I would love to have girly drinks with you - I am sure we'd get the giggles after one or two. xoxoxo Alison - Diana, Thank you - I am never down for long. Sometimes I have to write it out of my system. Thank you for caring. xoxoxo Alison - BC Thank you - as always, thank you. A - ARH, Thank you for taking the time to cheer me up. I did smile when I read your comment and am back to being cherry red. xoxoxo A - Hugs to you, AW. xoxoox A - Bobby, Your comment made me smile ... I could see the washerwomen with their blue water. Thank you, friend. xoxoox Alison - Rachael, Yep, sometimes blue is the only thing to wear. You understand (smiles) xoxoxo Z - jimmy, I am just loving you to pieces! Love, Alison - grins at brneyedgirly girl - I like clubs. I make a motion that we start a club! Love you, A - Linda, Being blue is sometimes like letting water stream over your emotions. It soothes them and cools them off. At least, that's how it works for me. I love you lots. Alison - Bruce, Thank you. xoxoxo A - RDB, I caught that hug when you slung it my way and I have been hanging onto it ever since. Thank you and I love you. A - Tina, You make me smile ... I am a fan of your poetry too. You are special to me here. xoxox A - Paul, Thank you. I am short and kinda sweet. Well, sorta sweet. Okay, okay, sometimes sweet! xoxoxo A - Ruth, Do you use All too (isn't that the blue one) or is that Tide? Oh I dunno - I guess we are kinda alike and that makes me happy. xoxoxo Alison |
