Sleeveless

love became the bizarre in my normality
where I became a good cover story
something that I looked for that is lacking within me
becoming infatuated with animals with long sharp claws
that tear at skin and leave you standing bloody dripping
pouring yourself out till nothing is left
stealing all there is living the lie
now I float drowning without a drop of water
there is much I know about love, a lot I don’t
and some I don’t want to know
honestly, I just don’t have the time

"I'm so hard to handle
I'm selfish and I'm sad."
— Joni Mitchell

I don't want to get started because it wouldn't help.  Just know we miss you terribly, and I sure hope that someone gets what is coming to them, and you get all the good stuff.

Impressive, dear Helen! Infatuations can make us lose the ability to see behind the surface.
This is an incredibly well written piece, may you find peace!

Love,
Margherita

Words that could stand alone, Helen.

Hope all is well.

If you don't want to wear it on your sleeve, go sleeveless. Nice title for a great write.

I agree with M... this is a poem in itself... and a great one... I can feel the exhaustion. *S* It's great to see you posting!

That ol' devil needs to be told to keep his ass off your chair. Until you are ready for a good tete-a- tete.
But, l reckon you are not in the mood for his bullshit.
