In wait it lies, this bit of resentment,
that I have kept and secreted away.
In wait it lies, wanting discovery,
needing cleansing.

I, knowing, saved it back,
and when time had come to
finally rid myself of it,
instead dug a hole and covered it over.

But now because of its refusal to stay hidden
concession thought it best
to give it proper justification, to write how bitterness
had disguised it as need and compromise cleverly
conned that survival was not possible
without it, and I

could, if remembrance were able,
elucidate the righteousness of my rebellion
but what good could come of it,
except to give this defiance glory?

So then shall I shelve my pen and
take a seat, to wait until shame
marches me into the middle
for all to see?

Repentance on the other hand
softly urges that it is time to unearth
this tarnished cache, erase it completely
and be rid of it once and for all,

there is One after all who has offered
to bear the weight of it, who
has already paid the price
to free me from it…

In wait it lies, wanting discovery
needing cleansing...

Absolutely not! And the reasons are multitude... you are missed, your pen is missed, there should be no shame, your legs would be a distraction if you were out in the middle *G*... and most of all... by the beauty of your heart, I know you've already claimed another option. *S*

I've missed you, gal... get out of that tent and into the light! *S* This is wonderful... YOU are wonderful!!

Well written piece with psychological depth. Let go of the past and breathe freedom again and let your pen dance.

Love,
