Blood Drip

"NIGHT FRIGHTS"

I knew it was Halloween, but figured what the heck,
go through the cemetery to get home, wasn't a long trek,
so I walked right through that creaky main gate,
and when I did I had the impression it was too late...
Photobucket
Well I didn't know it, that is, what I was getting into,
until scary things started to happen, holy whew,
I heard this noise, sounded like something very angry,
what was it I wondered, was something going to abuse me...

Something was flying after me, with cackling laughter,
there was a ghost person looking like an aggressor,
I didn't want to agitate it, so backed away did I,
didn't do any good though, it caught me with its eye...
Photobucket
So I turned tail and ran, later they said I was pure white,
I was really scared, had a whole lot of trembling fright,
and as I was running, fast as I could down that curvy path,
out jumped this thing, with its entire terrible wrath...
Photobucket
A ghost, a thing, wow Batman I thought, what's next,
I shouldn't have asked, because next was the best,
evil red eyes were looking through the dark at me,
it was coming from over there, behind another tree…

It gurgled and said "A'rrrrrgggg", and other bad things,
I said, "Wow Bill, this is not good, just too many beings",
my teeth were chattering, like I was into an earth quake,
hoping that that gurgling thing only had a belly ache...
Photobucket
Never found out what it might be, because I left in posthaste,
before that whatever thing it was wanted me to taste,
I took off from that cemetery, yelling “yahooo, come on feet,
help me get out of here, just once make me an athlete",

So I learned one lesson, if you must walk through the park,
don't go there when it's Halloween, midnight, and dark,
because all of those creatures, they have pretty big appetites,
and there is one thing for sure, they will certainly give you
night frights…

Even in evil
your work has a charming element, Bill.
You can take the mundane
and adorn it into splendor.

Bill Charles - Take a bus. Hitch a ride. Call a friend. But stay out of that cemetary. It's enough for a fright in the nite. I liked this Bill. It has its own eeriness for Halloween. Namyh

Buuuuu, that was truly frightening, I think I would faint right away in such scenery ... of course you would be there to catch me or ... oh no you run for your life!

Well done, dear Bill, Poet of many resources.

Love,
Margherita

By the time I got to your post-haste retreat, my reading was accompanied by the mental soundtrack of Rockin' Dopsie singing "feet don't fail me now!" LOL Glad you escaped! *G* This is terrific!

Gadzooks, dear Troubador! This 'song' scared the living daylights outtame!!!

Those scary graphics were awesome! Really added to the macabre atmosphere!

So, I suppose you wouldn't want to meet with me in the cemetery after midnight? lol

BOO!

Love 'n a Halloween 'Kiss',

Midnitesun - you mean you won't be cruising through that cemetery on fright night, my, my...

Bluesy - boo, from out of the fog, and boo to scare you...

threadbear - your gracious comments are appreciated, thank you...

nourzihane - do not go to sleep tonight, do not go to sleep tonight, because this night will be the most frightening night of all...

Maureen - please don't stay in, meet me in the cemetery!

yann - I'm glad you enjoyed this writing for Holloween. Appreciate your reply...

Namyh - I believe this evening I'll detour around that darn cemetery. Every time I take a short cut something weird happens...

Margherita - take my hand dear Margherita, as we stroll through the cemetery. Nothing will harm me, as you'll be protecting me...

suthern - my feet haven't fail me yet, therefore, I may try that shortcut one more time...

Linda - after the stroke of midnight I will be waiting behind the red headstone of 'The Drack', for you. We may have to run, so be sure your feet can motivate. But before that happens, who knows what trouble we can get into on this scary night...

playing.with.crayons - do not go to sleep, for things do go bump in the night...

I'll be there! Trick or treat! ~ I'll be wearing my angel costume. My halo lights up and will be our beacon of light as we wend our way through the cemetery.Shiver me timbers! This sounds like fun!

See you then!

Bill

1.  Your graphics are superb.

2.  Your writing tells an eerie story in such a way that you feel like you are right there.  Especially creeping through the cemetary.

3.  Next halloween, if I were you, I would take a cab and pay the $40 to get home.

Overall - I really liked it and liked your style of writing.  It is a good thing you didn't add sound to it.  Wouldn't that be neat!!

Linda - See you there, and as I sweep by I'll pick you up and carry you away, for an angel you are. Fun it will be, h'mmmm...

Ariana - Your words give me inspiration to write on until forever. Believe it or not, it really did happen that way, yikes. If I were to take a cab, just think of all the fun I would miss, then again, they may catch me this time.

Adding sound, what a great idea, I must learn how to do that...
