It was before conversation; Before their eyes had met Through the sudden tan Of the tree branch As the sun set And a damper of wind Tied the lights and corners until they were dim. Languishing in their thoughts, Their eyes stepped closer At the end of each corner, Until the ease of his arm Rubbed up against her shoulder. She spoke with a gentle hesitation, Her past left her vulnerable to another mismatch Another lost laugh But he was sacred to her intuition. They walked until sunrise, After conversation. |

I loved the imagery here, and I found this piece leaving me with a very hesitantly romantic picture. Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. |
