the wine maker
knows no fear
sets no bounds
a shapeless star
piercing hearts
with lyrics of sound
stirring life
as he does
crashing down
laughing water
into wine

his words weave feeling
seahorse weeping
butterfly breathed
into being
from nectar sublime
shapes floating
in his vast sky
of dark
overflow from
his vast cup of heart

each grape
by grace
pressed
with his thumbs
juices flooding
downward
spiralling 'round
along strings of light
the masses
swooning
eternally drunk
from his excesses

While I love the construction of how the verses physically line up on the page, I find a lack of rythmic flow here. Other than that, it's excellent imagery, and a very nice write!

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
