Knowing the soft brush of my lips
the way my eyes smiled in a half glaze
you felt the touch of my hands on your face
and the way of sighs
escaping my heart.

You captured so many moments
and then tossed them to the wind
they meant so little to you
so small to someone who's presence
is larger than life.
I feel sorry
that you are never sated and content.

Perhaps at peace with nothing to pull you down
or hold you close for too long.
While the days passed into tears
you tasted the salt
and let it crystalize in summer's blaze
before the beams of radiation
dissolved them to ashes.

Oh I know
I made the choice and bared my heart
while you gave so little
left with bits and pieces of broken sea shells
a mosaic of love
cast rough around the edges
deflecting the sun on the sand
living in the moment for all these years.

A heartachingly beautiful write, Lori.

Bluesy - someone made a huge mistake, and it wasn't you. Just think, it's their loss, not yours. Fine write...

Wonderfully written melancholic tune of your heart, dear Lori.

Under the circumstances, we can still remember the beautiful moments, they are not erased by the tears. Better than mourning, which brings unhappiness.

Love,

Lori, your exquisitely-penned heartache made my own heart cry...

You are beautiful from the inside out and should be appreciated and adored for the treasure that you are.

Your heart sings - sometimes sadly and sometimes with the depth of your soul and sometimes both.  How happy I am to read both this night.  You write it beautifully and sing it even more beautifully - with heart.

He missed out on so much. This is wonderful, Bluesy One... so exquisite that every line paints his loss... whether he bothers seeing or not.

Wow, Lori.  The language and visuals here are beautiful.  So heartbreaking sad, yet with just enough hope to keep me from totally breaking down.  Very good write.
Go well.
