I can almost feel your fingers in my hair sometimes when you whisper that way and hold your breath and then talk fast about other things like you had eyes tattooed on your skin and they were watching you get warmer in the room but you say you like how it feels to dance with nothing on but the residue of love and you don't ever want to have enough of it you then became so suddenly quiet but I didn't mind that I might have woke you from your contentment and that there was something insatiable there now that seemed to be devouring you more each day I guess I knew it would get me too if I were there but I would not mind being that close to you if I knew we would not be able to break away again from that almost feeling of fingers in our hair when we whispered that way and held our breath together ______________ daark (do of water) |
