He fell from the sun,
A shooting star,
He is,
a legend.

Burning clothes,
Melting wax;
He fell
Like a rock.

Into the ocean,
A blur of flames.
With a splash,
A hero was born.

Beneath the mirror,
the murky depths.
Glowing green,
Icarus Falls.

His in-animate corpse,
gently falls.
Forever.
Resting Eternally.

I've always been a fan of Greek mythology and this piece illustrates Icarus in a whole new light for me. Thank you.

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks, I love greek mythology and it doesn't say much about what happens after Icarus so I decided to illustrate him as a legend.
