The morning light is far too bright
And the autumn wind is far too cold
These sunglasses don't block out near enough light
And though I'm quite young, I'm feeling quite old

As the fall leaves change
The summer blooms wilt and die
And the scents of the city rearrange
But I feel to my bones a frightened cry

It seems as though the only thing constant
Is the ever-changing world
And in this instant
I think I can feel it turn and swirl

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the differ

is change

Sometimes I get motion sick from all the change.

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

so true and beautifully expressed, Some days it seems all is spinning, some days it seems all is frozen, we have to nuance ourselves constantly and try to seek happiness as we can...Thanks for the regarding poem.

Hang in there, Rachael.  The tilt-a-whirl will slow down and stop and, hopefully, all will be right again.

Very powerfully expressed uneasiness, dear Rachael.

You are definitely too young to feel old,  but not too young for such profound psychological reflections. You do well, you will find your balance.

Love,
Margherita

Z, you're always a bright spot of support for me. Thank you.

Margherita, I also appreciate your support. Any support right now is helpful.

Time is the best thing and the worst thing that there ever was - it just keeps moving on.

Sometimes I feel like shouting - Stop the world!  I wanna get off!!
