As a teenager the concept of limitless space amazed me.To think that, if I pointed skyward, an invisible line extended from my finger would never end! Skipping stones across some quiet cove I would imagine that, with enough power behind the throw, skip distance would eventually diminish to infinity. As through the cycle of our years infinity grows much closer, our spirits weave a glowing thread that reaches to forever. Sutra 22: Anger directed at you is not necessarily about you: always consider the Source. |

Ah I loved the last few lines. This reminded me of something I read in a book last week about global warming. The theory is that if they extended an ordinary garden house up into space, they could fix global warming once and for all. Amazing book actually, as some laughed at Orwell. It is called, Superfreakenomics. |

Mysteria: Thank you. I have just ordered the book (on your recommendation) from my local library. LostPoet: Many thanks. Jim Sutra 25: Remember that a pile of ordure is simply that: Seek not to give it meaning. |

Love this much. The concept of infinity fascinates me. I love to think we are children of eternity, but to fully grasp the vastness of what is seems impossible. Beautiful! Love, Margherita |

I am still amazed by infinity, as well as your poem. It speaks an endless sky, an endless mind. Or is that just me? ![]() |

Ancient Hippie - When we're very young, we think we're never going to die and we point with innocenct belief to stars and seas and things without limit. When we're much older,we realize everything has a limit. When we point to those stars and seas like an adult, we want to believe in them even more as a child . Nice work AH. Namyh |

Margherita: Thank you. We are indeed children of eternity. In time we will develop to fully appreciate that inheritance. "We are stardust: we are golden..." Joni Mitchell-Woodstock. Thanks, Lori. My pleasure. Ken: We are simply babies in an endless Universe that has so many aspects that we cannot grasp. Earth Angel: Never-ending Light, pretty well describes my view of Brahman. Thank you, Rachel. I have, then, achieved what I set out to do. Namyh: Thank you. I have found much food for thought in the ancient Hindu Vedas, and the Upanisads, that is consistent with quantum mechanics. Amazing that such old literature has such profound understanding. Sutra 30: Language reflects the Truth of one’s Reality: listen carefully when others speak. |
