What is a poem but a window to the soul
What is a poem but a door with no handle

The unseen yet unhidden from sight
The contradiction of contribution
The darkness in light

What is a poem if it is not something real

If a woman can look spy the beauty of a man
Then can the man find the beauty of a woman?

Ah, but who am I to speak on what a poem is.

A poet filled with poetry is a pen filled with ink.
The pen does not decide what to write, the hand is its master

So if a poet is to a pen, and ink is to poetry.

What is the hand of a poet?

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde

The hand is the lifeline to the unknown secrets of the mind?  Got me thinking here, and that is hard sometimes.

GREAT questions!

The pen does not decide what to write, the hand is its master

So if a poet is to a pen, and ink is to poetry.

What is the hand of a poet?

Just last week, I was writing in my composition book (I prefer the feel of pencil) and I was writing the word, notion, but when I looked at my page, it said notation. So think on THAT! was the hand, the poet, the pencil, the mind or muse? We may never know, but when we see it, it becomes infused!

as to poets, yesterday I rediscovered Kahlil Gibran's "The Poet" and it trully speaks as to and about from the heart and soul of me. Give it a read...
