From the footsteps of my conscience My words begin to bleed As I boldly question the innocence Of my love and I's boneless deeds Can I pass excuse for context, Swipe the cue-cards before the heart? I feel the calling of surrender Within the pause before the start Gypsies call the fall of bones to ice Ripples freeze all cross my face I needn't search reward in paradise I've settled too long for such a place Can I sip love's milk without cause for sleep, Drink without the fear of darts, And feel the calling of surrender Without the pause before the start? I feel I've bred too long something moving In the bed of another's room Where I've offered up punch-drunk memories Without meantion of creation's broom Can I expect of love a reflection Ignoring kindness of another's part, And feel the calling of surrender Without the pause before the start? I remember hearts dripping heavy Like I remember waking in reverse When you'd blame yourself less and less Mistaking good things for bad to worse Can my song be meant for singing From the end right up to the top? A chorus filled with feelings of surrender Without a pause before the start |

"Can my song be meant for singing From the end right up to the top? A chorus filled with feelings of surrender Without a pause before the start" Definitely....sing it loud and clear, without hesitation. |
