How shall I love thee?
With words fair to the open ear,
And printed on paper yellowing
Words from my pen you wanted to hear,
With a fire that soon will be mellowing
Ink dries, falters, and fades
In ever lightening shades

Or should I love thee,
With deeds grand, tangible to touch
And actions, such can be measured,
Done in name of love mean so much
And more to the eyes, a pleasure
Actions define the latent lover
Yet surpassed by always another

I think I should love thee,
With thoughts from my eternal mind
And brave whatever comes this way,
For as long as I can think, love will never die
It is the only lasting card I have to play,
For thoughts are to words, the seed,
And drive the temporal deed

Man, you blew me away, here...

Actions define the latent lover
Yet surpassed by always another

I think I should love thee,
With thoughts from my eternal mind
And brave whatever comes this way,
For as long as I can think, love will never die
It is the only lasting card I have to play,
For thoughts are to words, the seed,
And drive the temporal deed

This is GREAT

actions define the latent lover
and brave whatever comes this way

are my 2 favorite lines here

you can call me, Brad

"the author, the artist, is never more than 50% of the piece. The audience, AH, now there is the key. Never more, nor less, than 50% of me."

This is magnificent, my friend... Not only is it a beautiful declaration of love, it's universal truth... especially the last 2 lines. Really wonderful write!
