The Jazz Man
Martini @ hand

Listens
Soothes,
The Seethe

with an old brass band
and Bible

Singing songs of Sandy days

Rumple Ravel tap
the Ragtime lifts
from broken piano hands

Tiny fingers
scared and burned

Polka dots play
on Ivory

a Moonlight Serenade

The poem makes me want to know more about the environment. Is is a seedy place full of smoke or a more upscale joint?

Enjoyed reading.

You make me long for long gone yesteryears, a period I wasn't even born yet.
I'm on the set of an old movie.

Well done
