Not one but two
Were born this day

A joyful note
A sorrowful tone

One to know love
The other to know hate

Mercy birthed one
Envy produced the other

I did not use any punctuation in this poem. I felt that punctuation would change it too much.

Hey, we must be taking about Cain and Abel here. Or is it Jacob and Esau.
Good and evil that's the meat of great poems.
Not the silly stuff of love lost and found.
Nice Poem!

Thank you GBride. I was thinking of how the two (envy and mercy/hate and love) are connnected when I wrote it.
