Crossing the River He reached up and took my hand, As along the riverbank we walked, Stepping carefully on the big round stones, While of camping and fishing we talked, Then we came to a bend in the river, Where the water ran slow and wide, Rock by rock, like steppingstones, We crossed to the other side, His first time crossing a river on foot, He didn’t even get his shoes wet, The smile on his face for his accomplishment, Is something I will never forget. From my:Josh went camping series. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

The smile on his face for his accomplishment, Is something I will never forget. Pictures can capture so many memories... but your poems are such incredible treasures... forever documenting emotions as well as events. *S* Josh is a very lucky little boy! *S* Thank you for sharing his smile so beautifully! *S* |

Tracey, I'm smiling as I can just picture the sense of accomplishment and pride. Wonderfully visual. Much enjoyed. Best wishes, /Kit |

Such special moments cherished...and now held in a poem for posterity. Big smiles, because I can see this so clearly, a little hand in a big one with such trust and adventure, too~ KL |

I am smiling and thinking how lucky you are to have a Josh to share these times with. And how lucky we are that you, then, share them with us. A |

To all my wonderful friends here, Thank you so much for your kind and caring comments, and the love you share with me and poetry. So sorry I have not been around much to read and comment on your poetry, I do miss the time I used to have, but I do pop in every now and then. Look forward to having more time, (I hear retirement is fun) someday. Until then, Thank you again, your comments mean the world to me. Love always, Tracey |
