What to write about?

Okay, so you want to write a poem.
After surviving one more day on
the job without being let go.
They are letting the older
people go first, although its illegal.
But what to they care, you only get
$10,000 if you win the case in court,
and most of that goes to the lawyer
and for filing fees and such.
So you might as well go quietly
and forgo the mud flinging.
The company doesn't care.
They just up the price on
the products by a penny.
I could write about global
warming and scare everyone.
Like,you know, how Kansas
City will soon become the
Venice of the plains.
So, fans, invest in gondolas.
And singing schools for
gondola operators and captains
of schools of gondolas.
I'm too old to remember
what young love was.
Well, I do occasionally
in my dreams!

A lamentation which touches upon problems to which sadly we all can relate. It's good to grow in the awareness that humanity's attitude needs to change... and where do we begin? With ourselves. It's nice to dream of love, it serves as a reminder to BE love and to share it. By being attentive to humanity's needs, you show that you care.

I would go with that gondola Venice, idea
and run with it, keep going
