We had arranged to meet at four. Talk a little, over little cups of coffee. But her hair was down, and it flowed like black ink written in cursive. Her skin was tanned like she was southern probably from gardening, or painting her new house. She looked the way I know she felt inside, at least on that lavender day. I could taste her strength in the air around us, it's a thick smoke that settles on your tongue. I told her she looked nice. She brushed it off by telling me I'd seen her this way before. What a great poem! You are so right coffee dates suck! When the chemistry is there, it's just there, and you wrote this out really well. |

I think coffee dates would be lame too. However, you wrote this beautifully -- it doesn't sound like it was toolame. Just kinda lame - well, the way you wrote it sounded pretty cool. You just keep bringing on the good stuff. A |
