She is a long, cool drink of vintage wine Poised before my lips And held there until the end of time Savored with little sips Not drained in one fleeting, clumsy swallow Bypassing the sensitive tongue Slowing the flow brings such pleasure to follow Lessons not learned by the young With age comes a deepening form of understanding Of how to sustain that flow, To savor forever the taste of her I am demanding And in doing so, The moment that would otherwise be spent fleeting Is frozen somehow in time A choice I chose willingly upon our first meeting To tend her green growing vine She will thus ripen, upon lips of mine She, that way will be, like vintage wine |

What an exquisite association of her with wine! Your appreciation is expressed with the touch of elegance we have come to expect from you. Very beautiful, also in the concluding lines. Love, Margherita |

Delectably dreamy! I have often thought of my own kisses as being akin to sips of a fine Bordeaux that get better with the passing of time ~ and experience. Linda |

With age comes a deepening form of understanding Of how to sustain that flow, To savor forever the taste of her I am demanding Choosing favorite lines from such a wonderful whole is all but impossible... but these linger so delightfully. *S* Beautiful work!! |
