It’s early and it’s cold to skin
This morning waking from the night
The view outside is one of awe
I wonder still if dream I sight

Heavenly the haze I see
A halo light near pushing through
The ground around still sleeping be
A gift, a blessing that I view

I see a glint of daylight smile
It peaks above the mist below
And as I watch more for a while
A magic lingers in its glow

I like to stay and watch it move
To see its changes with the day
The way it crowds and curls about
To hypnotise, then fade away

Nature; what a wonder she
To share her beauty and her view
To let us find when not expect
A morning smile and something new

I wander to a hill and climb
To gaze upon this sea of white
Protruding are the taller trees
And mountain tops that claim the right

It is a view that takes the breathe
And makes one think of beauties awe
In memories room to take a place
With all the gifts I’ve seen before

Dear Rick, your awareness of Nature's beauty and the precious gifts every day holds, is wonderfully expressed here.

Enjoyed this very much.

Love,
Margherita

So very beautiful... and as soft as the mist itself. *S*

We had a morning mist much like that this a.m. and I was happy to watch blue sky come as the sun burned off the gray.  You are right, though, it's magical, as it hugs the earth and softens all the shapes, drapes and shapeshifts around the mountains.

Fall means jackets and sweatshirts for most of us as the weather cools, but for the mountains in the morning, it's those angel hair shrouds!

I enjoyed this very much.

Dear Karen, lovely to get your reply my friend, nature is so wonderous that it often takes our breath away, how lucky we are to be here to see if but only a part of it. Thanks for your reply, always good to see you here.
