Whatcha know about the foot steps in the dark Wondering, pondering if you gonna make it through the park Like a fire fly in the night, the gun spark With a flash of light, the gun bark Soul gone, body flung, what a shame, he was so young. Oh well, who wants to hear about a song already sung? Whatcha know about the pain of being unheard Being one of two yet feeling like the third? Screaming into the night sounds oh so absurd Yet whats the last resort for someone unheard? Like a deaf man with his vision blurred We ignore the voice, as if it were slurred Whatcha know about fame I guess everything- What a shame Its there, so someone must claim Its burden, with no one to blame But us. So whatcha know about having so much hate That the color of another changes your minds state Guess we could leave it up to debate Some call it culture others call it fate I say the civil rights leaders were just a moment too late So whatcha know about it? I'd guess you wouldn't. And for the worlds sake you shouldn't. You see in the darkest corners of evil There's a candle, and for them its lethal Butterflies and hugs and kisses Are things everyone misses Let it be warm, let it be cheesy Its the cliches of the world that keeps it turning A beautiful idea, for you it comes easy I'd say; Keep the flame burning. -Poet "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
