the Armageddon sky starless, rages choked with clouds she is there, waiting at hard-knock’s gate under assumption and cloaked in shrouds, she balks the Calvary late no knights tonight to lead her way out of the mist missteps stalk call her out loud tell her she’s wrong turning her cheek and her back, she walks averting the vines on edge of the trestle she follows the whistle into apocalypse night . |
