Won't You Hold It Tenderly? |

Won’t you hold it tenderly? It’s timid, and afraid... Of any sudden motion... Many times, mistakes it’s made. Let your speech to it fall softly And assuage it’s grief and fright... And try to give it comfort- For it cries a lot at night. Won’t you deal with it with candor- It’s too simple for charades. Won’t you handle it like crystal? Before the last of it’s hopes fades. Won’t you murmur, Please don’t fear me? Ere the conversation starts... Won’t you handle it quite gently? For I’m speaking of my heart. |

What a tender poem from what appears to me to be a very tender heart. God bless, -Bob |

I hope whomever holds it does hold it tenderly and gently. Such a person is a lucky person for sure. Thank you, poet man. Alison |

Now, coming from a strong man like you, this is particularly enjoyable. Very nice. Love, M |

A true man has the strength to admit he crys at night. I think you are that true man. Say, we haven't seen you at the Long Branch Saloon lately. I have to tell you that Doc, Festus, Matt, Miss Kitty, Newly and the rest have been a pining for you. So, stop in and I will buy you a tall cool one and we can parley some yarns. Keep the powder dry. |
