As the night passes me by In a city full of lies I sit and wonder why Homeless children have to starve and cry This world gets colder by and by And fills itself with lies An apathetic generation no longer asks why Homeless mothers watch their children die Images of sex pass me by Billboards selling lies And I sit and wonder why Young men and women have to die Reasons for war are skipped by Covered by the government with lies As a nation cries why The truth is leaked on the sly We'll find the turth by and by And we'll still be left asking why We're always told lies About starving children who cry Mothers who watch their children die And men and women who fight to die Arana Darkwolf [This message has been edited by rachaelfuchsberger (09-21-2009 04:04 PM).] |

As long as there are those who wonder, there's still hope for us all. *S* Great thought-provoking write! |

Thank you. I wrote it on the bus on my way home. Living in Las Vegas makes it difficult to not desensitize, so I try to observe and keep myself compassionate toward the issues that plague the world, and more specifically my community. Arana Darkwolf |
