glances exchanged
You and me-
at a bend in the road
Perhaps it's my turn
to take control of the wheel-

Wretched
away from you

Off your treaded road-
kicking up dirt in the countryside

Paving my road
Cultivating myself anew

I've never realized how hard it is to realize (sorry for the redundancy) that I don't need to follow the set course. And for that matter settle for friends who aren't really that wonderful.

I guess I am trying to say that I am trying to find my way generally (almost as much as I am academically)
