january in the cold |

They were holding each others hands like the wolves did When the snow came on this January Day. Where Frost met sun and children yawned so loud, the chills from the stores glanced down upon their stony rose cheeks. They were fighting the cold, their fingers shaking underneath their hooks. Their feet underneath the blankets, and a mothers cry, holding them like cubs, one under each arm. They were powerless to the nights strong wind, with a fathers strong, bare hands, rendered small as can be, twisting his mouth so he could feel the air breath.
